The Program committee for the NORDEFCO ADL Conference 2018 are looking for presentations and papers covering examples, ideas, opinions, lessons learned and best practice within the fields of:

  • Learning
  • Emerging Technology
  • Use of Technology
  • Research

Examples of what the presentations could include are:

How to make good Learning Designs, Theory used in combination with ADL, which Learning Methods or examples on good digital Pedagogy, Didactics or.

Emerging Technology:
The use of Drones in a learning context, how Games APP´s are used, types of wearable technology (and how it is used), how far we have progressed with Augmented Reality and how close are we to using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Intelligent Tutors?

Use of Technology:
Use of xAPI, production of Video Lectures, use of Free Tools, how to make Animations.

The Learning Brain, how to motivate the student online, research on how to avoid dropout and how to use the ideas from Pokemon Go in a military way.

The presentations should be 30 minutes long inclusive of Q&A.

Deadline for submission of proposals is end of January, 2018.


SUBMISSION (Workshops and parallel sessions)

The program committee is looking for workshop sessions that involve and activate the participants.

Preferred areas are:

- Produce animations and graphics
- Motivation of online students
- Producing video lectures
- Designing and developing learning assets
- Multiplatform delivery of courseware
- Practical use of (emerging) learning technologies
- Motivational and pedagogical learning strategies
- Developing blended learning courses
- Training needs analysis

The submission must describe necessary equipment needed to conduct the workshop and equipment needed to participate.  

Workshops chosen for 40 minutes will be conducted twice. 

Deadline for submission of proposals is end of January, 2018.

Conference fee for speakers?

There are no Conference fee for approved speakers.

This means that:

  • All Conference services,
  • Accomodation,
  • Meals,


When will I be approved as a speaker?

All speakers will be notified about their approval status, no later than February 1st.

In the auditorium we have following equipment:

What is the requirements for the presentations?

May I practice my presentation in the Auditorium?

Yes, the Auditorium is open for speakers to practice every evening after the official program.

What is the timeframe?

The timeframe for

  • Keynote speakers: 45 mins.
  • Speakers (Auditorium): 30 mins.
  • Parallel sessions: 40 mins.
  • Workshops: 2x40 mins.


Will someone introduce me?

Yes, every speaker will be introduced before the presentation by a member of the ADL program commitee.
