This book is about how the internet can be used to support adult education and how online technologies and methods can be used to create greater flexibility in learning. It has been written with employees of the Swedish Armed Forces in mind and is primarily intended for teachers and instructors training students (officers, soldiers, airmen, sailors, and recruits) in training units, schools and centres. It is hoped that Web-based learning in the Swedish Armed Forces will provide support for teachers and instructors and create pedagogical awareness of the opportunities offered and challenges posed by online teaching activities.
